and a graduate of Harvard Law School, Mr. Fiol has spent
his entire legal career working as a litigator on personal
injury and wrongful death cases, including primarily aviation
accident cases. He has substantial experience writing trial
and appellate briefs and arguing cases before state and
federal trial and appellate courts. |
| Mr. Fiol has written and revised portions of the treatise Aviation Accident Law, including, most recently, the chapter devoted to the treaties and laws regulating international flights. He played a key role in drafting the trial and appellate briefs that led to substantial recoveries for the families of those who died on Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland. Later, Mr. Fiol helped institute an action against the State of Libya for bombing the aircraft, leading to a settlement of $2.7 billion. |
| Mr. Fiol is currently representing clients across the globe in a wide range of aviation accident cases. |
