Al Jazeera.net, "Indonesia 'grounds' Adam Air jets"
Six Boeing 737-300 aircraft operated by Indonesia's Adam Air have been grounded for safety inspection a day after the fuselage of one aircraft cracked during a hard landing, an airline official said. The incident is the latest to hit the budget airline which last month lost one of its aircraft carrying 102 passengers and crew.

Only small pieces of debris from that aircraft - a 737-400 series - have so far been recovered. In Wednesday's incident at Surabaya airport the aircraft's fuselage cracked through the middle of the passenger section, leaving the tail listing to the ground.

Passengers said the jet landed with such force that baggage compartments burst open, sending luggage flying through the cabin. No serious injuries were reported in the accident which caused a temporary closure of the airport and the cancellation of several flights. The Boeings, almost a third of Adam Air's entire fleet, will remain grounded until they pass a government safety inspection.
